STORAGE:

Gilbert's Cartage Ltd has a large warehouse devoted to storage. The building is alarmed and the alarm is monitored by a security company. This is not public storage and the building is locked and alarmed at all times unless we are moving items in and out of storage.

Gilbert's Cartage Ltd offers three types of storage designed to suit our customers requirements:

1.   Short or long term furniture storage

wpe3.jpg (16550 bytes)This storage is designed for private customers who require storage for either an overflow from their homes or as a result of having moved house.   Goods can be stored for a week or a year - whatever suits the customer. A full storage inventory is supplied and is checked off when items are taken out of storage.

Having a party? We can store the surplus furniture over the weekend!

Sold your house and need to store the contents until you can move into the new house? We can store your whole houselot!

Going overseas for 5 years and need to store your household goods? We can store it all for all long as you require!.

 

2.   Commercial storage for retailers & importers

This type of storage is designed for businesses that import and need to store excess stock.   Space is made available on a flexible basis depending on how much room you need.

 

We do not keep an inventory unless requested. This space is charged by the week and as your storage goes up and down, so does the charge.

 

3.   Complete warehousing, inventory control and distribution

This is the complete service offered to customers who want their stock tracked from the moment we take control of it until the moment it is either delivered to their shop or to their customer.

This service starts with us accepting containers from the wharf once MAF have completed their inspections, unpacking the containers, checking the goods off against a manifest, unpacking the goods and checking for damage.

Any damage is noted and a full report, including photos, is sent to the customer within 24 hours if requested. Damaged goods can then be sent for repair if required. All other goods are inventoried into storage and an up to date inventory is sent to the customer weekly.

When sales are made, customer orders are sent to us and we arrange the delivery with the customer, setting a suitable time for the delivery. Any assembly is carried out by our men. Any customer complaints regarding the product can also be dealt with by Gilbert's Cartage Ltd.
